v description v

Westoba Credit Union features large clerestory glazing in the tower on the southeast elevation. Inside, the lobby is flooded with natural daylight into the tellers and client areas by the tower. The building features natural material palette including exposed glulam structure, slate tile and maple millwork. All offices and meeting room feature large windows that allow for fresh air to flow through the spaces. The building exterior is durable and approachable featuring fiber cement siding and cultured stone.

Westoba Credit Union was a new construction project located on a previously developed site. The design was inspired by a building that the Credit Union owns and operates in Brandon, Manitoba. The building floor area is 5069 sf and includes offices, a meeting room, the teller work area, staffroom, waiting area, as well as a mechanical room and vault. The entire building is occupied by Westoba Credit Union. There are 12 full-time equivalent employees and 5 full-time equivalent transients. The LEED boundary for the project is the property boundary. The Credit Union achieved LEEDŽ Certified status in 2014.
